"With the new day comes new strength and new thoughts". - Eleanor RooseveltMy Dear Blog: Oh how I abandon ye sometimes... And yet I always touch back in... And fill in with stupid YouTube posts sometimes... But, hey, they are fun...
Can't believe so many of my ol Blogger buds have abandoned this art... And Dave was a master. Still is, but as a Facebook friend... Which is fine... Scott, too. Trying to comment on some existing blogger friend's blogs often requires multiple attempts... The Blogger comment word verification feature is essentially indecipherable more often than not...
I've been completely enjoying the peace and quiet of this deep winter weekend. Sunday AM above 20 degrees... Uh oh... A mid-week heat wave is indicated... Humid 50's. No like.
Got lots done this weekend... Including booking a few beach journeys in the summer. Something motivating about 18 degree temperatures to make you think about the sunshine. And cooked up simmering batches of Steel Cut Oats for the next coupla weeks worth of quick morning microwaves... And did stupid stuff like Pinterest, Facebook, Twitter and other naughty websites and apps and such that end in an R without a vowel preceeding them... as in Time Wastr.
But most important is just laying low and re-charging my own inner battery. Caretaking as a profession is completely draining... Well it is for me anyway... Just in case u need more evidence that MINDFULNESS combats the effects of stress.
Am reading Marianne Williamson's Law of Divine Compensation. Highly recommend.
Do you use Gmail? Did you know about the '+' trick? I didn't. See labnol on gmail plus trick .
Stealing some random thoughts here and there from my own Twitter profile...

Rest in Peace, Clinton Detweiler. (1936-2012) A great gentleman and supporter to many. (See obit here).
Food stuff: Eating Quinoa is Unethical.... Also, you're supposed to eat the skin of Kiwi fruit? I never knew this. Silly me... Two soft boiled eggs and a baked sweet potato are my latest favorite Sunday breakfast...
Within an hour's range of Sunday Sushi... Tra la la...
Let's draft Eliot Spitzer for NYC Mayor. Seriously. How can we do this? Seriously.
